Nightlife app and music marketplace champion hospitality
The partnership will highlight music gigs in UK pubs and bars, integrating with GigPig’s live music calendar.
Users will be able to discover live music near them via bar listings, all while driving footfall to venues.
DUSK co-founder Sophie Abrahamovitch said: “We are always on the hunt for new, innovative ways to support the local hospitality industry through tech solutions - connecting pubs and bars with a younger, digitally native Gen Z audience.
“We are excited to help reinvigorate the live music scene across the UK and see more users out enjoying nightlife.”
Live music and free drinks
She believed GigPig’s marketplace was what the music and hospitality industries had been missing in the UK, introducing emerging and independent talent to local venues.
“Through the integration, our audience will be able to easily scout live music for the evening and enjoy their first drink for free on DUSK,” she added.
DUSK gives users one free drink a day and exclusive offers throughout the year, and also showcases bars to its users. The DUSK and GigPig partnership will be launching on the DUSK app ahead of summer, with activations planned across the country to celebrate.
With more than 4,000 independent artists listed, and 600 venues across the UK on GigPig, consumers will be able find events while also bag a free drink each night in DUSK bars.
Exciting times ahead
GigPig chief marketing officer Anna Gledson said the platform was “really pleased” to partner with DUSK.
She added: “This is a pivotal tech integration which will help to drive even more footfall into venues nationwide. Our partnership combines the shared passion and expertise of GigPig and DUSK to support the music and hospitality sectors to thrive.
“It’s more important than ever before to be the catalyst for change across our industries, helping venues to recover after a challenging few years.
“At GigPig, we’re on a mission to put live music just a few clicks away from every high street using our fantastic tech platform.
“We can’t wait to work with the DUSK team to further boost the number of people enjoying live gigs right across the country."
