Glendola Leisure purchases Handmade Pubs
Glendola Leisure has said it is "delighted to announce" its purchase of Handmade Pubs, and is "proud" to add its two London pubs, the Fox in Shoreditch and the Lansdowne, Primrose Hill, to its portfolio of businesses.

Glendola Leisure managing director Alex Salussolia said, “We operate a number of pubs in and around London so are delighted to add these two great pubs into the Glendola family of businesses.

"Great London pubs endure and fit perfectly into our aspirations to run long-term generational business.”

Glendola Leisure is a privately owned pub, bar and restaurant company set up in 1973 by Peter Salussolia. The company says it "prides itself on its entrepreneurial approach, leading the way in innovation and creativity".

Glendola operates several London venues including, Waxy O’Connor’s in Piccadilly, the World’s End Pub and Underworld in Camden and Silk & Grain in the City, as well as a number of venues on the south coast and in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Manchester.

In 2015 the company purchased Saltire Taverns in Edinburgh from operator Billy Lowe.
