Three pub operators were victorious at the inaugural Farm Frites Development Chef Awards.

The winners were announced at the Development Chef Summit at Westminster Kingsway College in London.

Midlands group Peach Pub Company scooped Best New Dish with a maple cured gammon and poached free range egg (£12.50) creation; Lancashire based Seafood Pub Company won Best Pub Menu (3-20 sites); and Anglian Country Inns’ director of food Harry Kodagoda won Best Group Chef - Pubs.

The awards were presented following the summit, which saw informative and inspiring talks from industry heavyweights including director of specialist industry consultancy for Allegra Strategies Simon Stenning who provided in-depth market insight, data and analysis on the multi-site sector; Yo! Sushi business development director Alison Vickers who spoke about adding calories to menus; and Victoria Moorhouse of the Sustainable Restaurant Association who described new London scheme FoodSave and how it can work with hospitality businesses.

The awards were partnered by Farm Frites in association with Callebaut, Call Systems Technology and Rational.

•Best Group Chef - Restaurants - Hakkasan
