Admiral's licensee training secures BII accreditation
The Admiral Taverns Development Programme will now be able to carry the BII logo across all three of its modules.
Each of the modules – making profit; marketing and merchandising; and improving standards and improving profit – are designed to help Admiral’s tenants and lessees become more business-savvy.
According to the pubco, the BII Good Practice Recognition Scheme not only examined the aims and objectives of the training programme, but also how the programme is monitored, assessed and implemented.
National recognition
Suzanne Smith, head of licensee recruitment and training at Admiral Taverns, said the company was delighted and proud to have received national recognition and accreditation from the BII.
She explained: “Training and development is a critical part of the business support we deliver to licensees and, as such, we invest heavily in providing exclusively-designed programmes that help them develop sustainable and profitable businesses.
“We have always been confident that our in-house licensee development programmes are leading-edge and represent the highest standards in training – and receiving this award from the BII is acknowledgement of this.
“We also believe our licensees will appreciate the added value in receiving training that comes with national, industry accreditation.”
Providing support
Denise Thomson, director of quality and compliance at BII’s awarding body BIIAB, said: “We are delighted to be able to recognise Admiral Taverns’ training.
“Admiral has demonstrated its commitment and investment in licensee training by creating these clearly thought through and excellently-delivered training courses, which in turn, provide enormous support and value to its licensees.”
Other pubcos with BII Good Practice Recognition Scheme accreditation include Spirit, for its Bar Experience training module, and Charles Wells’ Retail Induction Support Programme (CRISP).
