Meantime launches new Mitchells & Butlers-exclusive beer
The beer, called Delta Bravo, has an ABV of 4.5% and is brewed with American delta and bravo hops. It is the second in a series of four beers to be brewed in collaboration with M&B.
Richard Myers, marketing director at Meantime, said: “At Meantime we are always looking to push the boundaries of modern craft by bringing new and exciting beers to drinkers.
'Mission'
“It was our founding mission and one we follow with each of the beers we brew. Using these exciting hop varieties has enabled us to create something special that we know drinkers will really love.”
The beer is available across selected M&B sites now.
Last week Meantime officially launched its Pilot Brewery, producing new craft beers every fortnight, a move which it said would allow the company to constantly adapt and change its portfolio.
Brewmaster
Brewmaster Ciaran Giblin told the Publican’s Morning Advertiser this meant pubs would have access to larger limited-edition brews, with the potential for those brews to be given a permanent spot in Meantime’s portfolio.
Meantime was last week sold for an undisclosed amount to Asahi by previous owner SABMiller.
Dominic Worrall, founder of Sussex-based Bedlam Brewery, recently told the PMA Meantime was a prime example of how the craft beer scene in the UK has exploded over the past few years, pointing to the fact that four years ago he had been unable to secure a route to market for Meantime from London to Brighton because they didn't have the resources to deliver the beer 40 miles from the brewery.
