Power of play to be celebrated at industry event
Competitive Socialising – The Power of Play is now in its fourth year and the 2024 edition will be taking place at the Lighthouse Theatre in Camberwell on Thursday 9 May with around 1,000 guests expected to attend.
A variety of drinks will be available including soft options, cocktails, wine and beer with food on offer throughout the day too.
Evolving sector
Speakers include British Institute of Innkeeping CEO Steve Alton, Roxy Leisure MD Ben Warren and Lucky Voice MD Charlie Elek.
Alongside a plethora of talks, the day will also feature products to play on, networking opportunities, live bands, interactive quizzes, DJs, drag acts and more.
Gamechangers and Inntegra founder Jade Craig said: “We launched Competitive Socialising with our partner Home Leisure Direct – The Power of Play back in 2020 as I was inspired by how this sector evolved to suit customer demands and operated with passion and vision.
“We look forward to a day packed with insights as we learn and celebrate this industry. The aim of our event is to create a community for networking and best practice.”
Stars celebrated
Furthermore, the first Competitive Socialising Awards will be taking place, celebrating stars of the sector and highlighting the continued innovation, hard work and quality customer service provided by the sector.
The event will continue on into the night with suppliers providing food, drink and the latest gaming technology alongside live music, DJs and drag acts.
The awards are judged by the advisory board of the Gamechangers Organisation and will recognise the successes of businesses in the space from independent venues to multiple operators.
