The group, which has brands including Banyan, Box and Manahatta, announced like-for-like sales for the four weeks to the end of 2023 were up almost a fifth (19.9%) against December 2022.
Looking at the different brands, Box led the way and was up 30%, Manahatta a quarter (24%) while Banyan was up 10%.
Moreover, Arc had a momentous week in the second week of December with more than half (12) of the group’s 21-strong estate recording their best ever sales week.
Expansion plans
Looking ahead, Manahatta Edinburgh is next on Arc’s agenda – its debut Scottish site, which will be the brand’s 10th venue and the group’s 21st.
Furthermore, the business is eyeing expansion with launches in Cardiff, Liverpool and London this year with these growth plans potentially creating around 300 jobs.
On the recent results and expansion of the business, CEO and co-founder Martin Wolstencroft said: “Total sales grew by 54% over the festive period, which is a remarkable performance and one I am delighted with.
“This gives us confidence in our brands, our teams and the market to accelerate our growth with two Manahattas planned for opening this summer in Edinburgh and Liverpool."
Record sales
He added: “To deliver these record sales is testament to the passion, commitment and flair shown by our teams and great credit must go to our team in all departments who have pulled together to launch four new sites in the past year and delivered the best Christmas performance ever.
“I am extremely proud of everyone who works at Arc as without them we could not achieve the fantastic performance we have.”
In November last year, the group opened a Manahatta in Newcastle – the biggest development in the firm’s history.
Meanwhile, its Sheffield Manahatta is a finalist in this year’s Publican Awards in the Best New Site category
