MA Leaders Newcastle happening today
Hosted today (Thursday 18 May) at Banyan Bar & Kitchen, delegates will discuss a variety of topics, including what it’s like to trade Newcastle, current economic headwinds and attitudes towards apprenticeships with a business rates update from Colliers expert John Webber.
The team will also look at technology, exploring AI’s role in hospitality with Zonal product director Glenn Tait and how to unlock the benefits of Tik Tok with insights from one of its first employees in Europe, Inigo Rivero, as well as how to enhance online visibility with experts from Footprint Digital.
Additionally, attendees will also discover the best that Newcastle has to offer as part of the conference and study tour.
Regeneration project
On today’s study tour, the MA Leaders Club will visit multiple venues including MOJO, Pleased To Meet You, Colonel Porter’s Emporium and By The River Brew Co.
Newcastle has been transformed over the past three years following a multi-million-pound regeneration project.
While the city has a ship building and coal mining heritage, it now operates as a leading cultural destination across a variety of local areas, including Bigg Market, which is home to Newcastle’s oldest pub, the Old George, which dates back to 1582.
Multiple operator Mojo opened its latest site last month in Newcastle, at The Gate on Newgate Street, and is home to shuffleboard tables, beer pong and cocktail masterclasses.
Last year, NQ64 also opened a venue in Newcastle – the firm’s ninth and its first foray into the north east.
Vibrant city
Fellow multi-site business Arc Inspirations also announced plans to open the doors to a Manahatta bar in the city last year.
Ahead of the Newgate Street opening, Mojo managing director Martin Greenhow said: “Newcastle is a fun, exciting and vibrant city and we cannot wait to open our doors here with one of the biggest launch parties we’ve thrown to date.
“Our ethos is around bringing music for the people, food for the soul and good times forever and we hope to deliver that to the people of Newcastle.”
