CPL Learning launches online sales course for hospitality staff

Training company CPL Learning is launching its first e-learning sales course designed to upskill hospitality workers at all levels.

The MA Leaders Club is open to multi-site pub operators and meets three times a year around the country for a day of business-focused presentations from top experts and owner/operators. The day is followed by an evening study tour of new and exciting venues.

M.I.R.A.C.L.E Online, which is delivered in a modular, animated format takes 1.5 hours to complete with CPL and partner business Bums on Seats saying enrolling team members on to the course will help venues generate increased loyalty and repeat visits at a time when the industry is facing some major trading challenges.

“The course is targeted at all front-of house teams, management, reservationists and hosts and it builds on the proven success of the industry-leading sales and business development workshop of the same name from Bums on Seats,” said Jamie Campbell, director of learning, CPL Learning.

Greater access

He continued: “By offering an e-learning programme, we are providing improved access for a greater number of team members, which will support hospitality’s ongoing recovery by equipping them with the mindset, knowledge and skills to grow sales, increase profitability and raise brand awareness.”

80-plus courses available

M.I.R.A.C.L.E Online is the first e-learning sales course offered by CPL Learning, which was acquired by Access​ in April 2021, and joins more than 80 online courses available in hospitality and retail compliance, service, sales and personal development.

In September last year, CPL Training’s Jamie Campbell told the MA Leaders Club its research on the legislation relating to ingredients labelling on pre-packed for direct sale foods, known as Natasha’s Law, was backed by 84% of people​.
