Stay Original acquire fifth site in Dorset
Boutique pub and hotel brand Stay Original Co has bought its fifth site, the Grosvenor Arms in Shaftesbury, Dorset, this week (Monday 14 November).

The pub was added to the company’s expanding portfolio of award-winning sites including the Swan in Wedmore and the White Hart in Somerton, both in Somerset, and the Timbell’s Yard in Bradford-on-Avon, in Wiltshire.

Its fourth property, the King’s Arms in Dorchester, Dorset, is currently undergoing refurbishment and is scheduled to reopen in 2017.

First-rate service

Stay Original Co managing director Rob Greacen said: “We are delighted to be the new owners of this historic and much-loved local landmark.

“We’re going to settle in, treat our customers to a very special Christmas and in the New Year we will start to make some improvements in the property.

“At Stay Original we pride ourselves on our food and first-rate service and customers in Shaftesbury can look forward to enjoying the very best of both of these immediately.”

Unique and individual identity

The company was formerly known as the Draco Pub Company but was rebranded this summer as Stay Original Co.
