BII launches revamped website
The British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) has revamped its website including a new 'marketplace' for members.

The institute said the new site was easy to navigate and mobile optimised with an engaging and conversational tone, it claimed.

Members access a landing page tied to their geographical location when entering the site, producing content specific to their area. Another feature is the channel 'NextChef' - a recipe management platform where chefs can share details, imagery and instructions for dishes - as well as the ability to share content with customers through social media.

Other features include events and competition information, a knowledge bank and trend reports, and the new BII marketplace.

This new channel highlights offers and deals with 35 partners across financial, legal, food and drink, catering equipment and supplies, entertainment, property and utilities, technology, e-learning and training.

Mike Clist, CEO of the BII, said: “We have completed a comprehensive overhaul of our digital offering and are thrilled with the results. Working alongside our offline resources and advice lines, the new website provides our members with a vast range of content to help them grow and develop their business. They can manage their membership, access useful industry content, and even save money too. This, combined with the help we are giving our members on MRO means membership is invaluable – there’s never been a better time to join the BII!

“We are very keen for members to provide us with feedback on each aspect of our digital platform, as we intend to develop and grow it over the coming months, and further into the future. We see the growth of this very much as an organic process to create long term value for members.”
