Punch and Sky extend Wi-Fi deal
Pubco Punch has extended its agreement with TV giant Sky to allow of its pubs in the UK to offer customers free Wi-Fi from the Cloud.

Three-quarters of all Punch pubs already have the Wi-Fi and the agreement means that the rest of its portfolio will be able to offer the connectivity to customers.

Wi-Fi

Punch machines and services manager Julie Clamp said: “Punch recognises the importance of meeting its customer requirements by making it quick, easy and free to keep in touch via Wi-Fi.”

Being able to connect on social media and with the office is an important part of what customers are looking for from Punch venues, she explained.

The Cloud

Once a customer has registered their device with the Cloud they can auto-connect to the Wi-Fi at any Punch venue as well as 20,000 free hot spots nationwide.

Clamp added: “The Cloud Wi-Fi from Sky has proved to be hugely popular as well as fast and reliable in the large number of Punch pubs that have already rolled it out.”

She also said Punch was looking forward to extending the service across more of its sites.
