Epic pubs to open new pub with rooms
The Punch-owned Mill Street Pub & Kitchen in Oakham, Rutland, is due to open on 21 July and with seven bedrooms will showcase Epic’s first pub with accommodation.
With a total of 180 covers, it will incorporate two private dining rooms, including one with its own private bar, an open kitchen and a courtyard garden with banquette seating.
Managing director Andrew Coath said: “We are really excited to be entering the next phase of Epic’s development with this new pub, which will build on the success of our two existing businesses.
“Each Epic establishment is unique in character and style, but with the same consistent standards of excellence in our food, drink and service.

The Mill Street venue joins 185 Watling Street in Towcester, Northamptonshire, the Golden Ball Pub & Kitchen in Maidenhead, Berkshire, and the Anchor in Aspley Guise, Milton Keynes.
Coath said the company is creating a collection of pubs for dining and drinking as well as investing back in local communities. He revealed there are plans for further sites, including more with accommodation.
Punch partnership development manager Wayne McGarry said: “We are delighted to have joined forces with Epic Pubs, which has an excellent portfolio of pubs as well as operational expertise.”
He added: “The redevelopment of the site brings Oakham a brand new sensational venue and we are looking forward to continuing to work with them on the project and in the future.”
