The Association of Multiple Licensed Retailers has launched a rebrand which it claims reflects a “modern, vibrant” sector.

The new logo, which comes a week after ALMR launched its manifesto, is an attempt to change perceptions of licensed hospitality.

Its strapline reads DAYTIME, NIGHTIME, ANYTIME and ‘Licensed hospitality – It’s in our DNA’.

ALMR Strategic Affairs Director, Kate Nicholls said: “ An updated logo and new, positive image allows us to begin shaping perceptions of the industry in the minds of policy makers. Increasingly, we want to move away from the image of the pub as the sleepy village constant or the hotspot for weekend chaos.

Licensed hospitality contributes 6% of GDP and creates 1 in 8 of all new UK jobs. We want to promote this industry as one which consistently delivers growth and remains one of the UK’s finest assets.”
