Artisan bake-off supplier Bread Du Jour in new distribution deals
Bread Du Jour, which specialises in making bread “for all occasions”, will now be distributed by Swithenbank Fresh & Fine Foods, Oliver Kay Produce and Heart Distribution.
Orders will still be available directly from the company, which launched in 2012, with no restrictions on product combinations and no minimum purchase.
Designed to be stored in a cool, dry place for up to 14 days, the bread is removed from its protective packaging and baked-off in minutes.
Flexibility
The supplier claimed this gives operators greater flexibility with purchasing quantities, while at the same time, allowing them to respond to customer orders immediately.
Bread Du Jour director Kevin Bennett explained that the breads, which are a mixture of traditional ingredients with mature sourdough for extra flavour, fulfilled a gap in the market.
He said: “Bread is always a challenge. It is essential, but can be costly in waste and also take up valuable freezer space. We hope that we have met these challenges for caterers with ease of purchasing and longer ambient life.
“We are filling a gap in the market for top-quality artisan-style bake-off bread, available direct to customers throughout the UK via our website.”
