The government's latest anti-drink driving campaign - launched last week - was filmed in a north London pub and aims to get its message across through the 'shock factor'.

The #publooshocker video features young men at the pub heading to the toilet, only to be confronted with a woman smashing through a mirror, replicating the impact of a person hitting a car windscreen.

The THINK! campaign, run by the Department for Transport, has created a number of hard-hitting ads in the past in an effort to curb drink-driving deaths.

The latest campaign will see radio adverts and pub posters alongside the film drilling the message home that motorists face heavy costs if they drink and drive.

Road safety minister Stephen Hammond said: "Nobody wants to spend their summer in a prison cell so whether you are drinking in the pub or at a friend’s barbeque, make sure you do not drink and drive – it could have devastating consequences for you and for others."

In the last 30 years road casualties caused by drink driving have fallen dramatically, but in 2011, there were still 280 deaths due to drink driving – accounting for 15% of all road fatalities.
