Pop diva Tina Turner creates inconvenient distraction
During a visit to Bar Risa on Birmingham’s Broad Street as part of the National Pubwatch Conference, Snifter was taught how to deal with three difficult scenarios, just in case he ever decides to pursue a career as a late-night operator.
The folks from Charnwood Training Group and Sky Blue Theatre Company did a brilliant job of demonstrating some of the challenges which face club operators every weekend.
However, one delegate pointed out to Charnwood’s managing partner Jeremy Scorer that it was a bit tricky to take his advice on dealing with a first aid emergency seriously when he was delivering it in front of a screen showing the pop diva dancing in a way (and outfit) which could only be described as provocative.
“Gyrating” was the word used, as far as Snifter can remember.
