Star Pubs & Bars, the Heineken-owned lease operator formerly known as Scottish & Newcastle Pub Company, has partnered with Nescafe to offer its lessees a unique coffee support programme following successful trials in 135 pubs which have seen sales of coffee increase by as much as 112%.

The partnership with Nescafe is part of Star Pubs & Bars strategy of partnering with leading specialists to ensure that the lessees get the very best consumer insight, support and products in a given sector enabling them to compete with the toughest competition.

The new coffee offer includes a choice of new equipment for rental or purchase including the Nescafe Milano machine as well as on site staff training by Nescafe ambassadors and point of sale materials for every type of pub, from community wet led to through to family pub restaurants.

The Nestle team will be providing Star Pubs & Bars lessees with coffee category management support including insight into customer preferences, the tools and training to run tasting/sampling sessions and advising on the best offer for each individual pub as well as providing follow up support.
