Knife and Cleaver pub in Bedfordshire offers electric charging point
The Knife and Cleaver in Bedfordshire has unveiled a new electric car and motability charging station, claiming to be one of the first in the region to offer the service.

It is being offered free of charge to customers who opt for a two course dinner or a three course lunch at the Charles Wells site.

Graham Roe, who runs the pub with fellow licensee Terry Stewart, said: “We want to ensure we are offering the very best experience to our guests and diners and are always looking for how to improve our service.

“As we are so close to the M1, the A1 and the vehicle proving ground in Millbrook we have been seeing a real increase in the amount of hybrid cars in our car park and, although there are other charging stations in the region, most require users to register or pay a fee. We felt we could offer a simple solution.

“We are really pleased to be able to help our customers reduce their carbon footprint and hope to see people from near and far visiting to use our new facility.”
