Loungers confirms locations of north-west openings
Work is set to start this month on a 2,900sq ft site in Liverpool’s Mann Island development. The venue is likely to open in late October under the Lounge format.
Deals are already agreed on a further three sites in the region.
It is understood that terms have been agreed on a site at the Marine Point development in New Brighton, the Wirral.
In addition, legals are under way on two sites in Manchester, where the group has identified up to 10 potential areas of interest.
The first of the Manchester openings is likely to be in Fallowfield, where it is understood that terms have been agreed on a former tram station.
It is also understood that terms on a site in Didsbury have been agreed, subject to change of use.
Managing director Alex Reilley said: “As previously stated we believe there is huge growth potential for us in the north-west.
“We have identified more than a dozen target locations and believe that the Lounge format is extremely well-suited to the area.”
It comes as Loungers, which is backed by the private-equity group Piper, launches its 25th site, and its fourth Cosy Club, based in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
Loungers also opened another venue — Arcado Lounge — in Christchurch, Dorset, on 5 September.
