Great British Pub Awards 2012 now open for entries
Celebrating the passion, commitment and sheer hard work that goes into running a pub, these awards recognise and reward the talents of licensees in Britain’s pubs. The awards focus on licensees' achievements in a number of areas, including food, entertainment, cask ale and cellar management.
Last year hundreds of pubs across the nation entered, culminating in the Feathers Inn in Hedley-on-the-Hill, Northumberland being crowned the Great British Pub of the Year.
No matter what your focus, there really is a category for every pub to enter, with 14 awards ranging from Best Tenanted/Leased Pub and Best Newcomer, to Best Family Pub, Best Freehouse, Best Live Music Pub and the popular Best Community Pub. The awards culminate in a glitzy ceremony at a top London hotel on 13 September when the winners will be revealed.
PMA group editor Rob Willock said: "From today the Great British Pub Awards 2012 are open for entries – and we urge you to get involved and showcase your achievements.
"Winning one of these prestigious awards helps drive extra business at your pub, guarantees excellent PR for your business as well as opening up exciting new opportunities. The Great British Pub Awards are simply a fantastic way for you and your team to win recognition for all your hard work."
Over the coming weeks, the Publican's Morning Advertiser will be profiling last year’s winners in the magazine to show how winning an award can make a real difference.
