The New Inn in Salisbury, Wiltshire, has been named Public House of the Year and won a prize of £1,000 at brewer Hall & Woodhouse’s 2011 Business Partnership Awards.

Licensee Rachel Cox said: “In the two years I have been at the New Inn, I have work-ed hard with my team to make it a fantastic pub. This award means Hall & Woodhouse have recognised everything we’ve achieved.”

The black tie gala dinner ceremony took place at the Crown Hotel in Blandford, Dorset. The Las Vegas themed event saw showgirls, casino tables and an Elvis impersonator entertain the licensees, while £2,245 was raised for Naomi House, a Children’s hospice in Hampshire.

Matt Kearsey business partnerships director at Hall and Woodhouse said: “We are delighted to have had so many entries to the 2011 awards, it is vital we recognise the hard work that our business partners are putting into their businesses and these awards enable us to do just that. I’d like to congratulate all of the 2011 winners — we are very proud of them all.”
