Jongleurs: run under franchise by Momo Leisure
Momo Leisure, the firm run by former Nexum Leisure executive David Elphick and business partner Jez King to run Jongleurs comedy clubs under franchise, has secured its second site, in Bristol.

The acquisition of the Baldwin Street site sees them taking on an existing Jongleurs branded unit, as well as a nightclub, restaurant and bar.
Momo took its first Jongleurs site in Nottingham in 2010.
Elphick said he was confident that further sites would follow but was in no rush, claiming the “right site” is more important than “any site”.
In addition to his role at Momo, last year Elphick was appointed managing director of Jongleurs Comedy Ltd, overseeing 17 venues nationwide that are currently providing Jongleurs comedy. This has also seen a tie-in with nightclub operator Luminar at a number of sites.
Jongleurs was part of Regent Inns. Maria Kempinska, founder of the brand, took back control when Regent was the subject of a pre-pack administration in 2009 – it emerged as Intertain and rebranded its comedy clubs at Highlight.
