Still time to apply for Pub Mentors
The four pubs - a wet-led venue, community local, city pub and country pub - will get the chance to be mentored by four senior and experienced retail experts.
The experts are:
• Ali Carter, former BII (British Institute of Innkeeping) licensee of the year and industry consultant, who will mentor the wet-led pub
• Jay Smith, who owns Montey’s in York and Harrogate and has starred in the TV show Save our Boozer, will help the community pub
• Alistair Scott, who runs Malvern Inns, is a former executive at Mitchells & Butlers and heads up Catton Consulting, will mentor the city pub
• Phil Davison former BII licensee of the year and Wadworth tenant at the Berkshire-based Sun in the Wood will assist the country pub
As part of the initiative a Coca-Cola Enterprises expert will visit all four venues and give invaluable advice on how to improve sales of soft drinks. The Pub Mentors scheme, which will run for three months from October to December, will see the chosen pubs and their progress being featured in the PMA.
Send zvpuryyr.creergg@jeoz.pbz an email or send details to Michelle Perrett, the Publican’s Morning Advertiser, William Reed Business Media, Broadfield Park, Crawley, West Sussex, RH11 9RT. Pubs will need to be Coca Cola stockists to be eligible.
