Christie appoints Owens to valuation role

Christie + Co, the licensed property agent, has appointed Stephen Owens as head of the company's corporate pubs, bars and restaurants valuation and advisory team.

Owens joined Christie + Co in 2008 as head of rent reviews, based at the company's Leeds office, following a career of over 20 years in the sector where he worked for companies such as John Smiths, Allied Domecq, Tetley's and Yates Group.

Neil Morgan, director and head of pubs at Christie + Co, said: "We are enjoying one of our most successful periods ever in the pub, bar and restaurant sectors and Stephen is the ideal person to expand still further our flourishing advisory and valuation services business. He has already had a substantial input into a number of key national advisory projects on which we are currently engaged, and we look forward to him helping us to achieve even bigger and better things."
