Redcomb Pubs, the company founded by former M&B marketing executive Dan Shotton, has appointed two senior non-executive directors.

Redcomb Pubs, the company founded by former Mitchells & Butlers marketing executive Dan Shotton, has appointed two senior non-executive directors to its board as it gears up to open five sites in the coming year.

The two non-executive directors are David Franks, who was founder and chief executive of Regent Inns and is now a director of BFI, and Quentin Williams, former national sales director at Courage Brewing, who has more than 40 years' experience in the pub sector.

Shotton said: "Their experience and contacts within the sector will add real strength to our company, and be invaluable in ensuring we deliver our business plan to acquire 20 sites over the next four to five years."

Redcomb Pubs currently operates four pubs.

Last month the company opened the Box Tree in Boxhill, Surrey — an Enterprise Inns site.

The tenanted company made an investment of £500,000 at the site — its largest capital investment this year.
