Norfolk-based pub group Flying Kiwi Inns has opened its fifth pub — freehold the White Hart Hotel in Hingham.

Following a £250,000 refurbishment the venue opened with a capacity of 200 across two floors with an additional outside courtyard area.

The pub is similar in style to the other sites with traditional British dishes, such as slow cooked crispy duck leg with caponata and crispy polenta (£14.95) and herb-crumbed pork fillet with risotto verde and apple salad (£15.25), featuring on the menu.

Manager Ben Gibbins said: "It's going really well. We are serving around 120 covers a day."

The group, led by Kiwi chef Chris Coubrough and his wife Jo, opened its first site, the Crown Hotel, at Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk, in 2003 and his second site the Crown at East Rudham, in June 2008. The company has since opened the Kings Head, Letheringsett; and the Ship Hotel, Brancaster.
