The BII (British Institute of Innkeeping) is launching a mentoring service that will offer extra support to all its members in dealing with the demands of the pub trade.

Following the success of its pilot BII Mentoring Scheme for newcomers to the trade, BII will now allow all grades of its membership to benefit from mentoring.

Derek Hall, membership & business development director of BII, said: "This is a key service from BII and one that fits well with our status as a professional body and membership organisation.

"Facilitating a transfer of members' knowledge and expertise to enhance the achievements of others is a rewarding process for both parties. Networking has always been fundamental within this industry and we are pleased to offer a platform to support this."

The BII currently has around 35 senior members working as mentors, including award-winning licensees, top trainers and consultants.

Those interested in becoming a mentor should call Sarah Deane on 01276 684449 or email fnenuq@ovv.bet .

The mentoring benefit is available to all BII members free of charge. Visit www.bii.org/membersonly for more information.
