Tally Ho expands to three outlets
Tally Ho Holdings, the operator of food-led pubs, run by the daughter of broadcaster Sir Terry Wogan and her husband, has secured its third site.
The company has taken the Enterprise Inns lease of the Three Pigeons in Gerrards Cross, Bucks.
Tally Ho already operates two Berkshire pubs, both Greene King leaseholds: the White Oak in Cookham and the Greene Oak in Oakley Green near Windsor.
The plan is to refurbish the pub, which has been closed since the end of the 2010, along similar lines to these sites and to re-open in July.
The sale was handled by Davis Coffer Lyons on behalf of Maidment Judd, the administrator of the previous owner, Three Pigeons Ltd.
Tally Ho is owned by Katherine Cripps, daughter of Terry Wogan, and husband Henry, who said: "We are very excited about our new purchase, having always intended to grow our pub company."
The Three Pigeons is held on the remainder of a 30-year lease expiring 2021, at a passing rent of £48,000 per annum. A premium of £50,000 was sought.
Chris Bickle, of Davis Coffer Lyons, said: "Due to the overall desirability of this pub and subsequent interest in it, we were able to achieve a premium, which is unusual for a closed premises."
