Two employees from Orchid Pub Company were celebrating after winning a competition to name and design the label for its new wine range.

The winners, Lee Millson for the name 'Vanda' and Jeremy Ouisse for the label design, beat 300 entries from other Orchid staff.

"It was a very difficult decision as the quality of entries was extremely high," said Simon Dodd, commercial & people director. "We have some very talented and dedicated staff and the competition was a great way to give them a chance to show off their skills and mark their place in Orchid's history."

There are three wines in the new premium range; a Cabernet Merlot Rosé, a Pinot Grigio, and a Shiraz Petit Verdot. Each wine has a corresponding colour scheme on the label, with pink, white or red against a black background to create an eye-catching design.

The winning staff will also be going on a European city break of their choice.
