ETM Group is to open two new venues in the Grade II listed Whitbread Brewery building in the City.

ETM Group, the London-based gastropub operator led by Tom and Ed Martin, is to open two new venues in the Grade II listed Whitbread Brewery building in the City.

The sites have been developed in conjunction with top-end hotel operator Montcalm London Hotels.

Both pubs form part of the Whitbread Brewery building on Chiswell Street, which is currently being transformed into a brand new 230-bedroom five star hotel by Montcalm.

The first pub, previously called the St Paul's Tavern will offer a 20-cover hotel/public bar and 100-cover Modern British restaurant complete with a private dining room for 16.

Open daily from 7am for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, the space is undergoing a complete re-build and is due to launch in early May.

The second site is due to open in "late summer". Formerly the King's Head, it will feature an open kitchen with charcoal grill and three large rotisseries.

The pub will undergo a full refit to create a 40-cover public bar with space for 100 in the dining room and up to 60 in three additional private rooms.

Both pubs will have separate street access as well as access via the hotel.

Tom Martin said: "We are delighted to announce the opening of two new sites in Chiswell Street, a City of London street made famous by the old Whitbread Brewery.

"The openings of both venues, and the contract to run the food and beverage operations for the luxury Montcalm hotel, provides an excellent opportunity for ETM Group and represents our focus on launching in key central London, Canary Wharf and City areas."
