Kate Middleton has invited the landlord of her family's local pub to her wedding. John Haley, who runs the Old Boot Inn, was stunned when the invite from the Queen landed on his doormat at the weekend. Prince William and Kate have enjoyed cosy dinners at John's pub in Stanford Dingley, near Bucklebury, Berks. A Pub Watch scheme which bans troublemakers from bars has "named and shamed" the unwelcome punters on a Facebook site. Members of the Musselburgh and District Pub Watch have now barred 17 men and three women from a dozen licensed premises in the area since it was set up. Pubs and bars in Jersey could be allowed to open two hours later than usual for the Royal Wedding weekend.
