BII announces Licensee of the Year semi-finalists
Thirteen semi-finalists have been named in the BII Licensee of the Year competition 2011.
Judges are looking for individuals or partnerships who show good business sense, commitment to improvement, sound industry knowledge and passion for the business.
The winner will be an ambassador in the licensed trade and receive extensive national and trade publicity.
The semi-finalists are:

• Stephen Wragg FBII, the Green Dragon, Devizes, Wiltshire
• Mark Foster FBII, the Hare and Hounds, Corsham, Wiltshire
• Mike Stokes FBII, the Hoop and Grapes, London
• Lee and Keris De Villiers MBII, the Nightingale Pub, Balham, London
• Mahdis Neghabian MBII, the Camden Eye, London
• Christopher Maclean FBII, the Railway Hotel, Faversham, Kent
• Nigel Halford MBII, the Tweseldown, Fleet, Hampshire
• Ian Scott AMBII, the Oat Hill, Market Harborough, Leicestershire
• Barbara and Edward May, Great Western Hotel and Steam Bar & Restaurant, Newquay, Cornwall
• Vaggy Spyrou AMBII, the Golden Boar, Freckenham, Suffolk
• Graham Rowson and Angela Reid FBII, Saddle Inn, Preston, Lancashire
• Darran Lingley MBII, Five Bells, Colne Engaine, Colchester
Next, the semi-finalists will be whittled down to six by two independent judges who will visit each at their pub.
The six finalists will be invited to a judging day in central London in April where they will be questioned by a panel of judges.
The winner will be announced at the BII Annual Lunch at London's Grosvenor House on Tuesday 10 May.
