The price of a loaf of bread in the shops is to rise again after Associated British Foods, the owner of Kingsmill, warned that profits would be hit if it did not pass on soaring commodity prices. An east London man who drank 30 bottles of beer before throwing two of them at a pub landlord, has been jailed for 16 months. Patrick McDonagh had been celebrating his 25th birthday when the attack happened at the Ordnance Arms, Canning Town, the Old Bailey heard.McDonagh threw the bottles at landlord John Forbes' head when he was refused credit to buy more drinks. The 26-year-old, of Valerian Way, Stratford, admitted actual bodily harm. The court heard Mr Forbes suffered cuts and bruises to the forehead and ear in the attack at the pub in November 2009 - BBC News
