Liverpool brewery Cains is taking its range of beers and lagers across the pond to America.

The brewery linked up with Win-It-Too of Boston USA to send two shipments of Cains Export Lager, Cains Bitter and Cains Mild to America.

The export deal follows a successful showing by Cains at the National Beer Wholesales Association trade show in Las Vegas.

Cains joint managing director Sudarghara Dusanj and two representatives from Win-It-Too visited the famous Doctor Duncan pub in Liverpool this week to toast the agreement.

"Craft beers are becoming increasingly popular in the American market, and we're hopeful that our award winning beers and lagers will be a hit with US customers," said Dusanj.

Steven Villani, president of Win-It-Too, Inc of Boston USA, said: "We've worked with Cains to bring over the equivalent of 104,930 bottles for US beers lovers to enjoy, and we're confident that the range of craft beers will go down extremely well."

Legendary American film director Quentin Tarantino sampled Cains Export Lager while in Liverpool and declared it to be "awesome".
