Best suppliers to pub trade unveiled
The best suppliers to the pub industry were announced last night at the Great British Pub Suppliers Awards, sponsored by Tradeteam, at Plaisterer's Hall in London.
Over 10,000 votes were cast by licensees on which suppliers provided them with the best service, training support and added value.
The big winner on the night was cash and carry Booker, which scooped three awards — National Food Supplier, National Wine Supplier and National Cash and Carry.
Waverley TBS was voted as National Drinks Supplier of the Year, while Marston's picked up the gong for National Cask Brewer. Crabbies was voted New Brand of the Year.
"Well done to all our winners," said Morning Advertiser editor The PMA Team. "Without the insight, expertise and above the line investment being made by suppliers and brand owners in the pub trade it would be under even more pressure.
"The awards recognise suppliers who have been most effective in helping licensees build their businesses."
