Beefeater spices up the winter
A special edition gin for the winter season is set to join the Beefeater stable.
Beefeater London Dry Winter Edition contains a selection of spicy botanicals, with cinnamon, nutmeg and pine shoots, along with extra Seville orange peel, added to the botanicals of the original Beefeater recipe.
"I wanted to create a gin that would enhance the
traditional Beefeater recipe and make it even more suitable for hot punches and cocktails that are popular during the winter months," said master distiller Desmond Payne.
"Beefeater Winter Edition captures the familiar aromas of the season using a balanced combination of botanicals."
Various recipes will support the launch, including one for Hot Apple Gin, which includes the new Winter Edition, warmed and blended with apple juice and then garnished with a cinnamon stick and grated nutmeg.
