Brulines: i-draught will help increase sales
Beer flow monitoring company Brulines is confident its new i-draught system will help it increase sales, despite the wider economic uncertainty.
The i-draught system offers more than just dispense monitoring, providing tenants with information on pouring yields, beer quality and cost management.
Earlier this month, Greene King reported the rollout of Brulines new i-draught system to the estate had led to volume uplifts 5% ahead of expectations.
At its AGM, chairman James Newman, said: "Trading in the current year has been in line with management's expectations with the Group's leisure division benefitting from high levels of recurring revenues, further i-draught installations in the UK and overseas, and encouraging commercial progress with our Vianet vending telemetry solutions.
"Despite the uncertainty surrounding the wider economy, the Board is confident that Brulines' i-draught systems will continue to develop increasing demand due to the operational transparency and benefits that they can offer any pub licensee and operator, as evidenced by the recent preliminary results announcement from our partner, Greene King.
He added: "With an expanded offering and continued success in the Group's traditional markets, the Board is confident of maintaining Brulines' growth in the future."
In June, Brulines said it wanted to establish "some form of approval" for its standard equipment regardless of whether its services fall under the Weights & Measures Act.
The company has voluntarily entered into discussions with the National Measurement Office to see if there any steps it could take to improve its methodology, calibrating or operating processes following the Business, Innovation and Skills Committee's recommendation that Brulines be officially calibrated.
