A beer which celebrates the work of the Cotswold Conservation Board is returning to pubs.

Cotswold Lion, by Hook Norton, was first brewed in 2006. The 4.2% ABV brew is making a re-appearance throughout June as part of the brewer's Brewers Selection series.

The beer is a pale, fruity ale brewed with Maris Otter malt and hopped with Fuggles.

"Fuggles is the noblest of English hops - full of wonderful fruit and floral flavours and aromas" said managing director James Clarke. "Cotswold Lion is a pale fruity ale with a glorious citrus lime aroma."

Cotswold Lion is name after a breed of sheep from the local area. The beer will be followed by the July Brewers Selection beer, Haymaker, which is described as "sunshine dancing on the tongue".
