TV chef signed up for Great Northern Cook Off
TV chef Simon Rimmer has teamed up with Stockport brewer Robinson's to take on the region's best chefs in the Great Northern Cook Off.
The brewer is entering and sponsoring three teams in the competition — one of directors, one of tenants and one team from Stockport Fire Service.
Rimmer from Greens in West Didsbury and Earle in Hale will be mentoring the teams, along with two Robinson's tenants.
Catering consultant Christian Whittleworth said he hoped to extend Robinson's participation to other tenants next year.
The competition runs over three knockout rounds starting in September 2010 with a final cook off in January 2011. It is open to amateur chefs working in teams of four.
