Bellinger: stop the rot, help the pub
Customers to get free crisps to show their party allegiance at the Bell Inn, where licensee John Bellinger has set up his own pro-pub political party.

An Oxfordshire licensee is holding an alternative election at his pub - to highlight the problems faced by pubs.

John Bellinger has formed the Cask Ale Drinkers' (CAD) party, which calls for action including the "re-balancing" of tax to support pubs, reforming the tie and having a more targeted approach to alcohol-related harm.

He's now inviting people to "vote" at his pub, the Bell Inn at Adderbury, on 6 May.

Customs can bring along their voting card to claim a complimentary packet of crisps in the colour of their preferred party when they order their first local ale.

Hook Norton tenant Bellinger said: "Remember, every vote counts."
