Pub doubles as a barbers by day
Community spirit is running high in Winterton, Lincolnshire as licensee Dale Oades opened a barber's in his pub after the last one in town closed last year.
The Cross Keys opened its doors as a salon called Ronnie's last week and so far business has been good.
"People come in for a haircut and decide to have a pint first so we are doing a little better than before," said a spokesman for the Enterprise Inns leasehold.
Local hairdresser Carmel Dawson, who couldn't get premises, has set up shop in the pub lounge — a room that is never normally used during the day.
"We think in the long term it will be good for both businesses as word gets out. As long as it goes well, we'll keep it like this."
The Cross Keys doubles as a barber's from 10am to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday and until 7pm on Thursdays charging £4 to £5 per cut.
