Urban & Country founder to open £2m celeb club
Urban & Country Leisure founder Ross Sanders is to open a £2m celebrity hang-out nightclub in Soho, London.
Sanders, who founded Urban & Country last year, is due to open DIU in Greek Street in March and also has eyes set on a New York opening at a later date.
The new venture will run as a separate entity to Urban & Country. Sanders has already lined up a number of celebrity events including an MTV party and three A-List celeb birthday bashes.
"DIU will be a very different kind of London nightclub experience," said Sanders.
"The emphasis will be very much based on an intimate, yet unforgettable club experience.
"Whilst Soho has been much maligned over the years, it very much represents the rich tapestry of London society where bohemia meets modernism, where fashion, music, TV, film, publishing and media all converge."
He added: "DIU won't be a private members club or elitist in its approach with committees approving memberships.
"Entry to the club will be by pre arranged guest list as per the London standard."
