The Chesterfield Arms has been crowned Derbyshire's Pub of the Year 2010 by local ale enthusiasts.

The Everards Brewery family-run pub received the title from the Chesterfield and District branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).

Licensee Oliver Brown, who runs the pub with his fiance Jo, attributed the award to the pub's range of ales.

"Our customers tell us how much they love the wide range of real ales we serve," he said. "At the weekend we have around 14 ales on and there is a new selection added nearly every day.

"We hope to continue to grow the business with the support of Everards for many years to come."

CAMRA chairman Jane Lefley said: "The Chesterfield Arms is a very worthy winner. Oliver and Jo are great landlords and the quality of their beer is exceptional."

The Chesterfield Arms also won the award for Pub of the Season last year.
