Fuller's names new executive director
Fuller, Smith & Turner, the London-based brewer and pub operator, has announced Richard Fuller will be stepping up to executive board level with effect from today.
Fuller replaces Tim Turner, who is retiring from the group's main board at the end of March next year.
Turner, the brewer's commercial director, joined the group more than 30 years ago, while Fuller has worked for the company that bears his name since 1984, most recently as sales director.
He has just completed a two-month course at Harvard Business School in the US in preparation for his promotion.
Fuller will assume responsibility for the brewer's PR function, currently overseen by Beer Company boss John Roberts, as well as external affairs.
Michael Turner, chairman of Fuller's, said: "For thirty three years Tim has added great vision, perception, judgement and experience to our board. His contribution will be much missed."
Turner said of Richard Fuller: "He has achieved great success in his role as sales director and he assumed responsibility for personnel in 2005. We are delighted to confirm this well-deserved promotion."
