Leslau quits as director of 3D Entertainment
Property tycoon Nick Leslau has resigned as a director of 3D Entertainment (3DE), the Chicago Rock cafe operator 49% owned by nightclub company Luminar.
Leslau quit last week along with fellow Prestbury director Sandra Gumm. Leslau set up private property company Prestbury Investment Holdings in February 2001, funded by HBOS and Sir Tom Hunter.
Leslau is best-known for taking part in the Channel 4 programme Secret Millionaire last year, giving away nearly £300,000 in a ten day visit to Possil, Glasgow.
This morning, Luminar reported that "adverse market conditions" have affected trading in 3D Entertainment Group.
The company said: "3DE is classified as an investment held for sale, and we are reviewing the carrying value of our investment in the light of current markets.
"Should the value reduce significantly, it may no longer be appropriate to accrue interest receivable on the loan note, which totalled £1.7m for the financial year ended 26 February 2009."
Alongside Luminar, 3D Entertainment's management team, led by David Crabtree, hold about 30% and Prestbury, with Leslau's Prestbury owning 21%.
