Dunedin plans double pub sale
Scottish operator Dunedin Pub Company is selling both of its Edinburgh pubs for almost £1.8m, to focus on opportunities south of the border.
Christie+Co is handling the sales of the Flotterstone Inn and the Bridge Inn, which are both on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
The directors of Dunedin have taken the decision to dispose of their two freehold managed houses in Scotland, in order to concentrate on business opportunities in England.
The Flotterstone Inn, which has an asking price of £800,000, is a traditional pub/restaurant five minutes from the Edinburgh bypass.
It comprises a lounge bar, 50-cover restaurant, function room and beer garden. Included in the sale is a three-bedroom detached house.
The Bridge Inn, with a price of £975,000, is located on the Union Canal in the village of Ratho, near Edinburgh airport and the M8. It dates from the mid 18th century.
Recently refurbished in 2006, the Bridge Inn now has the Pop Inn cocktail bar. It serves the main three-sectioned restaurant, which seats 75. Its patio and beer garden overlook the canal.
An unusual addition to the business is the Pride of Belhaven luxury canal cruising restaurant. It is included in the sale of the property.
