The winners of BBC Two show 'The Restaurant' have opened for business at an Enterprise pub.

Michele English and Russell Clement have opened the Cheerful Soul restaurant at the Hare & Hounds in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.

The show offered the winning couple the opportunity to open their own restaurant in partnership with Raymond Blanc.

English and Clement have been training with the Michelin-starred chef since October.

The pair previously worked together running their own sandwich and buffet business. The pub was chosen by Blanc and his advisors.

On offer are a seasonal main menu, a bar snack menu and an offer menu called Nip & Tuck at £11.50 for a two course lunch and £15 for a two course dinner.

The offer includes a glass of wine or nip of ale(a third of a pint).

A children's menu is offered at £5.95 including a drink, meal and ice cream. Clement is in the kitchen with English running front of house.

The seasonal menu includes South coast crab and clotted cream tart; pressed ham terrine with cauliflower piccalilli; Chervil tagliatelle with mushrooms, pea shoots, wild garlic and soured cream; and fillet of trout braised with early summer vegetables, white wine and basil.

Bar snacks include prawns with mayonnaise and home-made pork pies.

Herbs and vegetables will be supplied from a small garden the couple have created behind the property.
