Pubs across the country have been making the most of new laws that now allow amusement with prizes (AWP) machines to have £70 jackpots.

The top prize winnings were doubled when new legislation came into play last week.

Bobby George, pictured, was on hand to launch the new Let's Play Darts machine at Fullers pub the Mad Bishop & Bear in Paddington Station, London on Friday.

And while delivery vehicles were busy shipping replacement analogue machines to venues up and down the country, licensees operating digital gaming technology have found the switchover a little simpler.

Their new gaming content arrived overnight in the form of an electronic download, with machines then ready for players to use come opening time.

Enterprise Inns pub the Scales Inn, Lichfield, Staffordshire, was one of the first sites to go live with the new £1 stakes and £70 jackpots.

The pub's machines are supplied by digital gaming and entertainment specialist Games Media - watch a video about the changeover below.
