Excitement builds as a number of companies join in to make the debut of Pub in the Park a truly interactive experience that will, with the calibre of the sponsors engaged, provide a premier showcase for the pub and bar industry.

Some of the biggest names in the drinks business have signed up to highlight their association with some of the most entertaining events that are developed, nurtured and enjoyed in British pubs and bars across the country. The three day event celebrates an essential and unique part of our culture - The Great British Pub - and will be brought to life through grassroots sport, music, charity events, entertainment and food and drink. It offers something for all!

Brands from the UK's leading beer and cider business, Scottish and Newcastle, will be championing the traditional pub sports of pool and darts and adding a twist of chance with their poker competition. Fosters 'Game On' will deliver pool and poker with the country's No 1 brand John Smith's bringing its unique 'No Nonsense' approach to darts.

"Pool, poker and darts events are held on a daily basis in thousands of pubs and clubs across the country. The popularity of these sports has resulted in the local pub becoming the breeding ground for many professionals in these sports. Carlsberg will be 'delivering a little bit more' offering the winners of the nationwide, in-pub, Battle of the Bands competition the prestigious centre-stage platform to perform during the festival alongside a top line-up of entertainers. "Tuborg is internationally associated with festivals and supports key events in the UK including Glastonbury, Latitude and the Leeds and Reading festivals to name a few - the Pub in the Park is a welcome addition to that portfolio of prestigious events. Aside from interactive sports events and in-pub competitions, music will play a central part. Budweiser Budvar will be providing a jazz strand to the occasion featuring top performers from their Budvar Brewed jazz programme for pub musicians; part of the annual Budvar Cheltenham Jazz Festival. From the Edwardian bandstand, one of the familiar features of Greenwich Park, they will give visitors to the event a taste of the amazing range of jazz talent fostered and played within pubs and bars across the country.

Among the great range of products available at the festival, visitors will experience the Champion of hand-crafted English lagers, Freedom Brewery, who will be slaking the thirst of customers with samples of their range of Organic Lager, Organic Pilsner and their latest popular product Organic Dark Lager. Guinness will be arriving in style with their special events team and bar ensuring there is plenty of the black stuff to enjoy alongside the entertainment.

Licensed retailers will be tempting visitors with a taste of their concepts and brands replicating the great experiences that customers have within their communities and on the High Street. The dynamic Bar Scene area will represent the innovative spirits brands and the sophisticated bars that add that touch of glamour to the industry.
